REMAP: Restore motor function through robotic arm exoskeleton and brain computer interface. dff denmark
The aim of the project is to use "movement related cortical potential" (MRCP) to control an assistive soft glove for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients. The onset of the disease in ALS often manifests in the hand, and the patients lose the function for many activities of daily living, and the loss of it, profoundly decreases the quality of life of these people. In the present project, we have developed a brain-computer interface (BCI) for an intuitive control of the glove using brain signals and a passive orthosis to provide hand opening/ closing.
